Tokat Pickled Vine Leaves – The Legend of Narince
The leaves of the “Narince” grape, which grows particularly in the Erbaa Plain of Tokat province, have been carefully collected and preserved in brine by the local people for centuries. These leaves are thin-veined, elastic in texture and unique in flavour.
Work to obtain a geographical indication began in the early 2000s, and “Tokat Leaf” was registered in 2010, achieving geographical indication status. Today, Tokat Narince Pickled Grape Leaves have earned their place not only in our country but also in the global market, becoming an indispensable part of traditional flavours in kitchens.
